Gold

Gold is a surreal and theatrical memoir inspired by Amumma’s story. Blending absurdity, performance, and fantasy, the film follows Laxmi through a series of fragmented episodes, from birth staged as spectacle to the trials of school, family expectations, love, and patriarchal control. Through shifting spaces and heightened imagery, the film explores identity, resilience, and the dream of freedom in a world shaped by tradition and repression.
